Burly Calling Festival 2011

Burly Calling was a joke started by the Saint Alvia Cartel in 2007 to make money for tour support. The original concept was a "tour" across their home town of Burlington from one end of the city to another. This highly successful event took different shapes over the next few years bringing us to the current inception it is now.
Burly Calling has become an internationally known phenomenon in the DIY ( do it yourself) music and art markets. Celebrating the diverse artists of all formats that have spawned from this area making Burlington internationally known.
Burly Calling founder Ben Rispin has been navigating his way through the music industry for close to 20 years. His passion has taken him around the globe allowing him to spread the word about the thriving art scene that is flourishing in Burlington ,Ontario .
The goal of the festival has evolved into trying to bring community and the arts together to celebrate the diversity of the great city.
The past years have been beyond successful often with venues and pubs competing to get added to the roster. The only problem Burly Calling faced in 2010 was not enough room for the massive amounts of traffic that wanted to attend .Everyone agreed that this is a good problem to have. With all the support things are very optimistic for Burly Calling indicating all aspects involved will continue to grow and be better every year.
The goal of the festival is to give concert goers a unique experience by allowing them to see well-known bands in intimate venues. 2011 would seem to be the biggest year, with the biggest bands and the most excitement so far !

8 venues - 2 Days, Dec 16 - 17
Headliners include:

The Flatliners
The Reason
Saint Alvia
Bat Sabbath
The Dinner Belles
