Poison Control Center Celebrate 10th Anniversary With Huge Party, Contest
Sad Sour Future Out Now; "Never Ending Tour" Still Not Ending
Ames, Iowa based indie rock group the Poison Control Center is currently in the middle of their, "NEVER ENDING TOUR," in support of their double LP Sad Sour Future that has seen them cross the country numerous times, open for their idols Pavement, play huge festivals, and even cross the border into Canada. But on October 7th they will be coming home to kick off a year full of fun events, and releases celebrating the band's 10 Year Anniversary.
On October 27, 2000 the band played it's first ever show in the basement of Friley Hall on the Campus of Iowa State University in Ames, IA. On October 7th, 2010 the band will be making a pilgrimage back to Iowa State to play a very special 10 Year Anniversary show at the Maintenance Shop.
The Poison Control Center has always been a band that wants to break down the walls between band and audience and October 7th the band would like to take that one step further. The PCC are inviting friends, fans, and former members to submit songs they would like to perform with the Poison Control Center as their backing band. PCC Live Band Karaoke in other words! All songs in the PCC's catalog are up for consideration. You can make this an Elvis style solo performance or get a group of friends to come up and rip through some blast from the past!
To submit a song for consideration please write to poisoncontrolcenter@yahoo.com with the subject line PCC KARAOKE.
The band will start the night off with a set of tunes from their entire catalog that will feature a number of very special guest joining them, then it's your turn to join the band!
