NEVER SHOUT NEVER TO RELEASE EXCLUSIVE EP THROUGH ALL DIGITAL SERVICE PROVIDERS

VIDEO FOR THE TRACK "WHAT IS LOVE?" PREMIERES ON MYSPACE TODAY
Never Shout Never, the brainchild of 18-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist Christofer Drew, will release a digital four song EP through all online service providers today as well as through www.shockhound.com and www.nevershoutnever.com. This is a digital version of the physical EP that was released exclusively through clothing retailer Hot Topic on December 8th. A video for the track to "What is Love?" will premiere exclusively on MySpace on today.
The EP features two songs from Never Shout Never's upcoming eight-song release for Loveway Records/Sire ("Jane Doe" and "What is Love?"), a live track ("Big City Dreams" from 2008's The Yippee EP), and a b-side ("She's Got Style"), plus two music videos ("On the Brightside" from 2009's The Summer EP and a live video of "Trouble" - a song from 2009's Me & My Uke EP - that was shot in Grand Rapids, MI, in July).
Drew has recently put the finishing touches on this release, entitled What Is Love? with noted producer Butch Walker (Weezer, Katy Perry, Pete Yorn). Recorded in both Los Angeles and London (at the world-famous Abbey Road Studio), it will be released by Loveway Records/Sire on January 26th, 2010. Fans will be able to pre-order a copy of "What Is Love?" which will include two lithographs autographed by Christofer Drew beginning today on www.nevershoutnever.com.
Drew will hit the road in January for a solo acoustic tour in support of What Is Love? He will also perform a series of very special shows backed by a string quartet in December. Never Shout Never recently completed a headlining tour, culling tunes from What Is Love?, as well as from the three EP's Drew released on his own Loveway Records: The Yippee EP, the Me & My Uke EP, and The Summer EP, which broke into the iTunes Top 10 Album chart in June. Drew took home the coveted "Breaking Woodie" Award at the MTVu Woodie Awards on November 19th.

SCARLETT O’HARA SIGN TO RISE RECORDS

Rise Records is proud to announce the signing of SCARLETT O'HARA. Don't let their name fool you, there's not even a shred of southern charm or grace to be found with this metalcore outfit. Scarlett O'Hara are on the brink of unveiling their debut album this fall which will be recorded and produced by Joey Sturgis (The
Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack!, For The Fallen Dreams). Driven to stake a claim for themselves coupled with an overwhelming amount of momentum, Scarlett O'Hara are standing by to deliver one of 2010's most awaited albums.

10 Days Until Christmas!

And you know what that means?
CHRISTMAS COVERS!

Yess!

First, my favourite Christmas song ever, done by F*cked Up... excuse me while I clean my pants.
Check it out HERE.

Next, Silent Night (Not So Silent) done by The Briggs, oops messed again!
Check that one out HERE.

That's all for now folks.

FUCK ME! Moneen Interview'ish.

So there's something you may not know about me. I have the worst luck ever. Not fully though, I'm more like break even Jerry Seinfeld but to the extreme. I will have abnormally good luck (landing Moneen as my first interview) and then everything will just go as wrong as it possibly can (our only camera of the 2 with audio ended up choosing now of all times to crap out and chew up the entire tape.) But not all is lost, I always end up getting something for free immediately after as a peace offering from the universe (tickets to Protest The Hero).
Things actually work out this way so often that I can't do much but shrug my shoulders, say "shit happens", and drink my brains out, pass out, and move on.
I'm used to it, so if you read my blog you'll have to get used to it too... Although I hope this won't happen again.
Since we had a back up camera and footage from the live performance we decided to put together a video of "what could have been" instead, but after a series of very unfortunate events we started to wonder if the universe was trying to tell us something.... I mean, how can all these things possible go wrong at the same time?:
1.Chris' camera dies = eats tape.
2.My computer dies trying to import the live footage.
3.My friend Dudnick's computer dies trying to do the same.
4.Chris' computer won't recognize my camera, he reinstalled each program and nothing worked..
5.Dudnick gets a new computer so we can finally get it done... then his phone dies and we can't get in touch with him.
6. I lose my chords to hook up my video camera with a computer
7. Chris finds chords from his deceased camera... they don't fit into Dudnicks computer.
8. No store has the right chords, after 7 we give up looking.
This is the broken camera :( RIP lil guy.

Finally, my good friend Eric comes through with his computer, which Chris' chords do indeed work with, and we FINALLY GET A VIDEO CUT! After weeks of stress and a broken camera, two broken computers, a broken phone... we finally have a video semi-portraying our lost interview... WHOMPX1000000!
(All the interview footage is dark and has no sound, deal with it)
Here's what could have been a great interview with Hippy and Erik with cameos from Kenny etc and even a taste of Hippy break dancing off pre- show jitters.

HOT TOPIC PRESENTS THE 2010 SUB CITY TAKE ACTION TOUR

NOW IN ITS 9TH YEAR OF RAISING FUNDS & AWARENESS FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
LINE UP ANNOUNCED TODAY INCLUDING HEADLINER - WE THE KINGS
WITH MAYDAY PARADE, A ROCKET TO THE MOON, THERE FOR TOMORROW, AND STEREO SKYLINE
TOUR TO FOCUS ON 14 YEAR OLD PATRICK PEDRAJA AND HIS WORLD CHANGING EFFORTS.
DIAGNOSED WITH LEUKEMIA AT AGE 10, PAT STARTED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DRIVING FOR DONORS WHEN HE LEARNED
HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE DYING BECAUSE THEY COULDN’T FIND A BONE MARROW MATCH.
TOUR SETS GOAL OF REGISTERING 2010 PEOPLE FOR THE NATIONAL MARROW REGISTRY
TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED, TICKET PRE-SALE BEGINS TODAY

tixx1.artistarena.com/takeactiontour
Hopeless Records, through its non profit organization Sub City, is pleased to once again bring you the Take Action Tour. This year the tour will spotlight Patrick Pedraja and the need to get people signed up for the National Marrow Registry. Presented by Hot Topic, the tour will feature headliner WE THE KINGS, in addition to MAYDAY PARADE, A ROCKET TO THE MOON, THERE FOR TOMORROW, and STEREO SKYLINE (on select dates). The annual nationwide charity tour, now in its ninth year, raises funds and awareness for youth involvement in charitable action. The tour will kick off in Atlanta, GA on January 25th and end on March 2nd in Dallas, TX. Pre-sale tickets can be bought now at: tixx1.artistarena.com/takeactiontour.
Every year, thousands of people get life-threatening diseases like leukemia and lymphoma that can be treated with cellular therapies such as a marrow transplant. Seventy percent of patients do not have a matched donor in their family so they depend on the life saving action of people who sign up for the National Marrow Registry and it’s as easy as a cotton swab of the cheek and two simple forms.
Driving For Donors exists to draw donors, attention, and funds to this cause. The non profit organization is the brainchild of now 14-year-old Patrick Pedraja who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 10. In 2007, at age 11, Patrick and his family started Driving For Donors and traveled around the country in a special "Donormobile" with the mission of signing people up for the National Marrow Registry to help find bone marrow matches for people in need of a transplant. Since then they have added over 22,000 donors to the registry, saved more than 24 people’s lives with matches and helped raise over $100,000 for tissue typing fees and drive expenses by selling advertising on Patrick’s bald head. Patrick has been honored by the United States Congress, CNN Heroes, DoSomething.org and has appeared on numerous television shows to promote this cause.
10% of the cost of each ticket sold is donated to further this cause making each person attending the Take Action Tour an active participant in making the world a better place. In addition Take Action is offering fans an opportunity to personally help save a life with onsite registration for the National
Marrow Registry available at every tour stop. Registration is simple and only requires the donor to be between the ages of 18 and 61, have a desire to help save a life, and have time for a quick cheek swab and simple paperwork. Registering is much easier than most people think and information about the entire process can be found at BeTheMatch.org. Those under 18 will have plenty of ways to support the cause as well and they can learn more at each show or by visiting drivingfordonors.com.
Presenting sponsor Hot Topic has worked with the Take Action Tour since the tour's inception in 1999 and their commitment to helping make a positive impact continues to be as strong in 2010 as it has ever been. The music lifestyle mall retailer (hottopic.com) is a natural fit as a presenter, because they demonstrate a passion for music in everything they do. Expect to see the bands from the tour making several special appearances at local Hot Topic locations throughout the tour. Also generously supporting the 2010 tour is MySpace Music, Alternative Press Magazine, Absolutepunk.net, Hopeless Records, S-Curve Records, Atlantic Records, and Fueled By Ramen Records.
The tour's headliners We The Kings, a MySpace Music “Introducing” artist, have been exciting fans everywhere lately with their hit song Heaven Can Wait climbing the top 40 radio chart for several weeks and their sophomore album Smile Kid very recently released on December 8th. The band describes their enthusiasm for the tour, "Not only are we really excited to be on tour with some of our best friends, we also get to support a cause that we feel strongly about. We recently had a conversation with Patrick from Driving for Donors and his enthusiasm and passion for the cause was really contagious. We want to make this year's Take Action Tour the biggest and best it's ever been, by making people aware and getting them registered."
Mayday Parade is currently supporting their October major label debut Anywhere But Here. Derek Sanders, vocalist for the band, says of his band’s involvement with Take Action, "The great thing about the Take Action Tour is that it brings people together for a good cause! We're happy to be able to use our music in a positive way, and we are excited to tour with a bunch of great bands."
Drummer Andrew Cook of A Rocket To The Moon, who released their latest album On Your Side in October, notes, "I first discovered the Take Action Tour in the form of the Plea for Peace/Take Action tour in 2002. That night I saw The Lawrence Arms, Common Rider, The International Noise Conspiracy, Shai Hulud, Snapcase, and Thursday. It left an indelible impression on me as a musician and listener. I heard the bands talk about suicide prevention, and how important it was, and I felt like I was a part of something bigger by simply being there, like my dollar was not just going into someone's pocket who promoted the show. I was inspired to go home and research the cause and the tour itself, and in turn stumbled upon a number of other related issues I cared about."
Hopeless Records’ own charity-minded band, There For Tomorrow, released their debut album A Little Faster in June of this year. The band says of the tour, "We are always on the lookout for opportunities that involve a cause far outside of ourselves. We're honored to finally be a part of valiant efforts like those of the heroic youngin' Pat Pedraja. There are many organizations that flatter themselves with the title "non-profit", but it is 100% reassuring and refreshing to see the proof of his work in the 20k+ donors he has gotten to join the ranks in the fight against leukemia. We're nothing short of ready when it comes to trekking the U.S. another time with this cause behind us. Take Action '10 will be a breath of fresh air for the artists/workers involved and the audiences alike. Thanks Hopeless/Sub City and all our homies that will share the stage w/ us. Let's make a difference!"
Stereo Skyline will join the tour on February 12th and are currently in Los Angeles recording material for the band's upcoming record.
The Take Action Tour is always comprised of the brightest up-and-coming stars of tomorrow. Previous acts involved include: The Plain White T's, All Time Low, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Paramore, Every Time I Die, Jimmy Eat World, Avenged Sevenfold, Hawthorne Heights, Chiodos, Thrice, Anti-Flag, Silverstein, Dillinger Escape Plan, and many more.

About Hopeless Records and Sub City: Founded in 1993, Hopeless Records is a Southern California independent record label home to breakout artists All Time Low, There For Tomorrow, Anarbor, We Are The In Crowd, and many more. Throughout its 15-year history, Hopeless Records has released more than 100 albums and launched the careers of Avenged Sevenfold, Thrice, and Melee. In 1999 Hopeless Records formally started supporting non-profit organizations under the Sub City banner with charitable albums, tours, and events. Now itself a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, Sub City continues this mission of raising funds and awareness for worthy causes, and to date has raised nearly $2 million dollars for over 50 non-profit organizations.

THE DUDES – BLOOD, GUTS, BRUISES, CUTS

ALBUM TITLE CURSES CALGARY BAND
What they say must be true, as after The Dudes released their album titled Bloods, Guts, Bruises, Cuts earlier this year the band (and others involved in the making and development of it) has suffered nothing but. Take for example their photographer Randy who took shots for the album and next thing you know he falls into a parked car and needs staples in his head. Or Megan who shows up at the shooting for the video ‘Girl Police’ and breaks her ankle within the hour.
None compares, however, to the injuries that the band themselves have sustained. Two days before heading out on tour lead singer/guitarist Dan Vacon’s white BMX took him down the highway of hurt resulting in 12 staples to the head and a broken collarbone. A month later drummer Scott Ross borrows and bails on the same bike to end up missing 3 of his front teeth, a bunch of his face, and a piece of his moustache. Witnesses say he got up swinging like he was in a fight. Eerily enough it was the same intersection in Calgary where both accidents happened.
Most recently Vacon crashed into a tree skiing at Lake Louise and broke the other side of his collarbone. Again two days before leaving out on tour. Last week the band got caught in a blizzard and while hailing a cab Ross slipped and got dragged 30 feet underneath the bumper of an oncoming car. With both knees busted, Scott can’t yet walk but still somehow manages to rock.

* Vacon with broken collarbone bruise named Bruce

* Ross with broken face, broken teeth, and broken moustache

Blood, Guts, Bruises, Cuts? Exactly. Don’t be surprised if their next album foresees the title Millions Sold, Millions Made.

Nominated for a CBC Radio 3 Bucky Award for their offstage antics and voted Calgary’s favourite band for the last 4 years, FFWD Weekly calls them “a rock band capable of taking on the world at large.” These guys rock as hard as their injuries do. Catch The Dudes bloodied, gutted, bruised, and cut on their remaining tour dates.

NICO VEGA POSTS LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO FOR "GRAVITY"‏

A bit Patti Smith with the sex appeal and swagger of a ‘70s rock star, she leads an all-out assault on the senses that leaves audiences satiated and exhausted.

Wendy’s and MySpace Records have teamed up to launch a new Internet series called “Fresh Faces.” Building on Wendy’s motto of ‘You Know When It’s Real,’ the ongoing Web program consists of 9 episodes from three different emerging artists showing what a ‘day in the life’ of a budding new artist is like.
Each “Fresh Faces” artist has its own 3 episodes than can be seen exclusively at www.myspace.com/wendys, in addition to a 3-song EP available for free download on the site. A new episode will debut every Wednesday throughout the series.
The first episode of the final series installment featuring Madison, WI’s self-described, “doo-wop punk” outfit, Locksley (www.myspace.com/locksley) is up now at www.myspace.com/wendys. Previously featured was Charleston, SC alternative pop rock artist Friends For Hire (www.myspace.com/friendsforhire) and LA hip hop artist IamOMNI (www.myspace.com/IamOMNI).

About LOCKSLEY:
Locksley’s penchant for melody and up-tempo, sing-along-friendly songs has drawn comparisons to everyone from the Beatles and Kinks to the Cure and the Strokes. Locksley self-released their debut album “Don’t Make Me Wait” in 2007. Considerable touring followed, including a stint as both the opener and backing band for Kinks legend Ray Davies, as well as performances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “Late Night With Conan O’Brien”. 2008 saw the release of a 3-song Locksley RockBand pack, a feature as MTV’s Artist of the Week and several high-profile song placements, including the movie Cloverfield. Their sophomore album, “Be In Love” is set to hit stores January 26th, 2010.

About MySpace Records Friends & Family:

The Friends & Family Artist Development Program created by MySpace Records, nurtures and promotes some of the best unsigned artists currently on MySpace Music. KILL BRAND TO LAUNCH NEW CLOTHING LINE FEATURING THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF ALL TIME LOW BASSIST ZACK MERRICK

THE ZACK MERRICK LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION GOES ON SALE EVERYWHERE DECEMBER 4
ALL PHOTOGRAPHS PERSONALLY SHOT AND EDITED BY ZACK MERRICK

Kill Brand, the burgeoning lifestyle brand based out of Asbury Park, NJ, is teaming up with All Time Low bassist Zack Merrick for a limited edition collection of clothing featuring the original photography of the musician.
From the bright lights of the stage, to the parking lot after the show, to long hauls to the next city, life is different for a musician on the road. It is with this idea in mind that KIll Brand/Kids Into Living Life is proud to collaborate with Zack Merrick for a special fashion collection to be released with the company’s Winter 2009 line.
See life through the eyes of a true road warrior. The pictures tell the story of a band on the run. The excitement, the tension and the anticipation of young musicians on the rise is visible in each frame.
Jonathan Smith, Kill Brand founder and former member of Tokyo Rose, explains how he teamed up with Merrick: “Zack and I were friends first, and he has always supported Kill Brand. I was looking at his computer one day and I said, ‘This picture is so sick who took it?’ He said, ‘Oh, I just mess around in my spare time and take photos while I'm on tour.’ We thought that collaborating his prints and our clothing would be a great outlet for people to appreciate Zack's photos, instead of just having them hung on a wall.”
The Zack Merrick Collection by Kill Brand is available December 4th at killbrand.com and in stores across the country and around the world.

About Kill Brand:
Kill Brand seeks to provide a unified creative response to a new generation who infuse their lives with passion and excitement. Kill Brand pushes the limits of expression, unifying the realms of art, music, and beyond. Kill Brand infuses love and enthusiasm to create a clothing line that reflects the style in us all.

In 2001, Kill Brand was created by musician, Jonathan Smith. While on tour in the band Tokyo Rose (SideCho Records), Jonny ran into a problem -- no clean t-shirts. With a hot pink T-shirt and black spray paint in hand, Jonny randomly “graffitied” K-I-L-L across the front of the T and took the stage. This fresh trend took punk rock fans by storm. Before long, Jonny was designing, spray-painting, and selling his T's out of the back of the tour van. As demand grew, Jonny invested in a screen-printing machine to keep up with supply. Jonny personally screen-printed every item by hand with his signature, KILL. Kill Brand's notoriety grew as Jonny left Tokyo Rose and pursued promoting the apparel at music festivals across the U.S.

Kill Brand designs are requested by stylists from GQ Magazine, featured in Alternative Press, and Wonka Vision Magazine, and worn by celebrities Seth Green, Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Steven of Steven's Untitled Rock Show, Nicole Richie, Ashlee Simpson, and Jessica Simpson. Bands like Second Hand Serenade, Fall Out Boy, The Used, My Chemical Romance, and countless others all are fans of the line. Kill Brand is currently available in Tilly's, Hot Topic, Zumiez, and over 400 retail stores worldwide.

All Time Low is currently on tour, for more info see www.myspace.com/alltimelow.

David Letterman supports male kissing!

Although I am not a fan of Adam Lambert of previous American Idol fame, I am outraged by the fact that he's gotten such horrible backlash from the American Music Awards performance where he performed Janet Jackson'esque risque moves on stage and kissed a boy.
WHAT THE FUCK IS THE PROBLEM?
Why is it that Madonna and Britney can kiss purely for publicity, but Mr. Lambert can't do it in the heat of the performance, when he actually ENJOYS it and isn't just trying to get ratings?

Because kids might be watching?

Bull. Shit.

Great message to all the kids out there, being gay is okay as long as you keep it away.

Go suck a dick America!

Check out both performances here

THE READY SET INKS DEAL WITH DECAYDANCE RECORDS / SIRE RECORDS

New Album Coming Spring 2010 – Free Christmas Song Now Available on Purevolume.com
Band Hitting the Road on the ‘A Very Acoustic Christmas’ and the ‘Once It Hits Your Lips’ Tours This Winter

Alternative-pop solo artist, THE READY SET, has signed to Pete Wentz’s Decaydance Records and Sire Records for the first release in the newly minted joint venture between the two labels. THE READY SET is currently in and out of the studio and will release his first full-length album in the spring of 2010.
Known as a jack of all trades; drummer, singer and keyboardist Jordan Witzigreuter (who goes by the moniker THE READY SET) is more than ready to lay his claim in the music world. Citing everyone from Daft Punk and Kenna to Kanye West as influences, Jordan stresses that there is no specific comparison that can be made for his music - and that is just the way he likes it. To be unique and genuine in today's scene is something rarely seen by contemporaries today, but it seems to be easily mastered by this young musician.
As the FriendsOrEnemies.com powered Rock-It Radio ‘unsigned artist of the month’ only back in October, THE READY SET proves that a lot can happen in just a few months time. To celebrate the band’s signing to Decaydance/Sire, Purevolume.com is currently featuring a FREE DOWNLOAD of a brand new Christmas track entitled “The Blizzard of ’89 (featuring Christofer Drew of Never Shout Never)’ and will be the website’s Exclusive Download of The Week starting tomorrow. The track can also be found streaming on UnderTheGunReview.net and the bands MySpace page.
Having shared the stage with the likes of Boys Like Girls, Never Shout Never, and The Scene Aesthetic, THE READY SET has already developed a passionate and loyal fan-base in a relatively brand new career. The self-described shy and reserved Jordan literally transforms when taking the stage with an in-your-face memorable live show - complete with explosive lighting effects, infectious melodies and mind-blowing beats. "Our shows are a party… All I care about is having fun.” says Jordan. THE READY SET will be hitting the road the ‘A Very Acoustic Christmas’ tour with Stephen Jerzak and Breathe Electric starting December 28 in Tulsa, OK. The band will then embark on the ‘Once It Hits Your Lips’ tour with The Friday Night Boys, Anarbor and The Bigger Lights to jump-start the new year. The ‘Once It Hits Your Lips’ tour kicks off January 22 in South Hackensack, NJ, and is scheduled to end in West Palm Beach, FL February 13.
THE READY SET will be following up with FriendsOrEnemies.com Rock-It Radio today at 3pm to chat about the signing, the new album, his upcoming tours as well as debuting the new track on the air. Be sure to check out THE READY SET on tour this winter and let the infectious melodies carry you away.
Tour dates follow, and are also available online at www.myspace.com/thereadyset
THE READY SET has also partnered with Shameless Skateboards hosting the Collab Shirt Design contest and is a part of the Feed the Beat Campaign, so you might catch the band at your local Taco Bell.

BLEEDING THROUGH TO TOUR WITH MACHINE HEAD AND HATEBREED IN THE NEW YEAR

FIVE NEW U.K. AND IRISH DATES ADDED TO "THE BLACK PROCESSION" TOUR
BAND RECORDING NEW RECORD FOR RELEASE IN 2010

Orange County hardcore band Bleeding Through, preparing to enter the studio to record its sixth studio effort, will be hitting the road in the New Year for an overseas tour with Machine Head. The Black Procession Tour will also include Hatebreed, and All Shall Perish.
Five brand new U.K. and Irish dates have just been announced on the trek. Fan presale links for tickets will be made available on Wednesday, November 25 and general public ticket sales begin on Friday, November 27.
“We are very stoked to be finally touring with our friends Machine Head,” Bleeding Through lead singer Brandan Schieppati declares. “It has been a long time coming and certainly a major plus touring with Hatebreed, and All Shall Perish again as well. We always love coming to Europe and especially the U.K. so the fact that more shows have been added and the return to Ireland is going to be the best possible scenario to start off the New Year.”
Hailed by Revolver as one of the bands ushering in the Future of Metal, Bleeding Through has also been heralded by Spin as an “artist to watch.” Preparing to assault fans with new music in 2010, for now, European fans will have to be satiated by the band’s blistering live show.

Big Ass Titties!

Big changes are coming to MusicSheBlogged soon, and I'm hoping all the readers are as excited as I am!
First of all, expect a brand new website that ISN'T a blogspot so you can all post comments and shit without having to sign up, and in addition to that we're going to add a MusicSheBlogged Facebook page as well as a Twitter account (I know I hate it too but hey, might as well jump on the bandwagon).
Exciting eh!?
I'm hoping to get a page up where fans can submit photos of shows and their own reviews, but until then if you have some already you want me to throw up as soon as the site launches please email them to me at ruby_cholo@hotmail.com, along with any ideas or input on the site about what you'd like to see more of/less of, etc.
On top of that we're going to start getting some major video interviews going, I have a big one lined up for December but I don't want to mention any names until everything is 100% confirmed, but if you want a hint they've been around for about 10 years now, are playing in December in Toronto despite a very recent show here, and they're from Brampton. SHHHH! *fingers crossed* I'm super fucking stoked for this though, they were the first band I ever saw live in a real concert setting (not a Cobourg basement show) and it would be amazing if they end up being my first interview as well.
Also, LAUNCH PARTY SHOW in the works, fuck yes, for early next year once everything is finished... so you better fucking come out to that.
And to top it off I'm adding a few more writers to the team, and hopefully getting a broader range of reviews going... and you guys will eventually get to see my face plastered everywhere, which, I really hope doesn't result in me getting my ass kicked by any of the bands I've shit on in the past.

Anyways, thanks for reading, and again please email me ruby_cholo@hotmail.com and let me know what you think.

Cheers,
I'm Sarah, I do what I want.

Twin Atlantic Stream!

SKRILLEX (AKA SONNY MOORE) REMIX OF TWIN ATLANTIC’S “WHAT IS LIGHT? WHERE IS LAUGHTER?” STREAMING EXCLUSIVELY AT WWW.ALTPRESS.COM ALL WEEK!
BAND UNVEILS NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE TRACK
TWIN ATLANTIC’S VIVARIUM NOW AVAILABLE

Glasgow’s Twin Atlantic has teamed up with www.Altpress.com to offer music fans an exclusive stream of the brand new “Skrillex Remix” of its latest single, “What Is Light? Where Is Laughter?”
The song was remixed by Twin Atlantic fan Skrillex (AKA Sonny Moore of Sonny/From First to Last fame) and can be streamed here: http://altpress.com/features/twinatlanticremix.htm.
"It reminds us of driving too fast in our friends’ cars when they just passed their tests and going to Archaos Club in Glasgow on a Friday night for the dancing,”
Twin Atlantic singer/guitarist Sam McTrusty explains.
“Sonny has put his own spin on our song and we really respect that."
"I had a lot of fun doing this remix, It was my first time dealing with a Scottish a cappella, not to mention a track that wasn't done to a click, which was a little bit of a challenge. On top of that it was the first drum and bass track I attempted to make which is a total different monster than house or electro as far as mix goes. But nonetheless, it was a great pleasure to do this remix. It always helps when the vocal performance emits that special 'thing' we can't really put our fingers on but know when it's there." Says Moore.

The Scottish rockers deliver a powerful performance in vivid color in the brand new music video for the original track which was shot in downtown Los Angeles by Hannah Lux Davis. Praised by Alternative Press for their
"thick, late-90s post-hardcore influenced beats intermingling with spacey guitar noodles,"
Twin Atlantic has already shared stages with the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Circa Survive and Taking Back Sunday and just wrapped up a UK tour with Fall of Troy.
Watch the new "What Is Light? Where Is Laughter?" video at http://www2.kerrang.com/2009/11/watch_the_new_twin_atlantic_vi.html.
A “What Is Light? Where Is Laughter?" single will be available digitally in the U.S. on December 1, which comes bundled with three b-sides (including the Skrillex remix.) In the UK, the single will be available November 30 on two separate limited edition 7” vinyl singles, as well as a digital bundle.

Here’s what the UK press have been saying about Twin Atlantic:
“There’s something gloriously impassioned about Sam McTrusty’s vocals. Yearning, searching, hoping and, above all, real.”– KERRANG!
“Be warned – this band is going to be huge!”– ROCKSOUND
“Marvelously chaotic"- BBC RADIO 1

So I wasn't the most hardcore fan out there but in a lot of ways I still grew up on this band, I guess most people did who would be reading this right now, but regardless they have been impressing me more and more recently the way they can hold true to the same'ish NOFX sound that I remember from grades 4/5/6/7/8/9/10/11/12...
They've been around since before I was born and yet their new EP Cokie the Clown is still as legit as Punk in Drublic from '94.
Holy punk rock Batman!

WENDY’S / MYSPACE RECORDS “FRESH FACES” CAMPAIGN DEBUTS LATEST EPISODE FEATURING LA HIP HOP ARTIST IamOMNI

WEB SERIES TO FEATURE 9 EPISODES FROM 3 DIFFERENT ARTISTS SPOTLIGHTING A ‘DAY IN THE LIFE’ OF AN EMERGING ARTIST
NEW EPISODES RELEASED EVERY WEDNESDAY; 3-SONG EP FROM EACH ARTIST AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD AT WWW.MYSPACE.COM/WENDYS

Wendy’s and MySpace Records have teamed up to launch a new Internet series called “Fresh Faces.” Building on Wendy’s motto of ‘You Know When It’s Real,’ the ongoing Web program will include 9 episodes from three different emerging artists showing what a ‘day in the life’ of a budding new artist is like.
Each “Fresh Faces” artist will have its own 3 episodes than can be seen exclusively at www.myspace.com/wendys, in addition to a 3-song EP available for free download on the site. A new episode will debut every Wednesday throughout the series.
The latest episode, featuring LA hip hop artist IamOMNI (www.myspace.com/IamOMNI) is up now at www.myspace.com/wendys.
Stay tuned for new episodes on future “Fresh Faces” artists, including a Brooklyn based beat-pop band, all handpicked from MySpace Records’ Friends and Family, a group of developing artists MySpace Records helps market and promote.

About IamOMNI:

IamOMNI is the microphone at the mouth of today’s young world. He voices their wants: love of self, the love of another; freedom of mind, freedom of lifestyle, the freedom of adventure and discovery; health and wealth, both financial and spiritual. He ponders their issues and anxieties - the paranoia that is a byproduct of this modern life of HIV and closed-circuit camera, the confusion of living in a world overflowing yet somehow empty. He lives their indulgences: weed, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, caffeine, fast food: a life of lows and highs. He preaches their values: loyalty, independence, dedication, determination. IamOMNI's sound bridges genres from hip-hop to crunk, rock to soul, and his come-one-come-all attitude and embrace of all styles of music gives him an appeal that scores across the board, regardless of your age, ethnicity or musical taste. And even if you can’t understand a word he’s saying, his warm, deep vocal tone and steadfast adherence to the MC’s First Commandment (move the crowd) are guaranteed to keep his tune in your head way after the song’s over.

About MySpace Records Friends & Family:
The Friends & Family Artist Development Program created by MySpace Records, nurtures and promotes some of the best unsigned artists currently on MySpace Music. Along with operating as a fully functioning label, MySpace Records runs the Artist Development initiative to empower artists who are unsigned and self-released, and provide these artists with an extensive set of tools and opportunities to market themselves on MySpace Music.
Currently standing at over 100 artists strong and growing, the Artist Development Program covers a gamut of musical genres including pop, alternative, hip hop and acoustic singer-songwriters, with premier acts including Emily Wells, All Smiles, Mary Magdalan and Kimberly Cole.

The Knockdown go on hiatus and make me cry.

One of my favourite lesser-known bands from the States, The Knockdown, is taking a break from making music together for a while.

And my world comes crashing down...

They posted this on their myspace blog to explain why:
The Knockdown hanging it up for a while
As some people may know, we're going on hiatus for a bit. With me in Florida and the rest of the guys in New York, we just can't be the kind of band we want to be. To say that this band affected my life in a positive way would be a gross understatment. Traveling with my best friends and meeting so many amazing people over the years has enriched my life greatly and it's sad to have to hang it up for now. This isn't to say that The Knockdown is completely done. Don't write us off yet!

In the meantime, Jay, Eric, Natoli, and Fatman have been hard at work getting TIMESHARES ready and will be playing their first shows next month. If you haven't already, head over to their myspace and check them out. It rules! www.myspace.com/timesharesmusic

As for me, I am writing new songs and starting an online store called Landslide Distribution. Look for more info on that over the next few months.

Thanks to everyone who has been with us over the last five years. Thanks for listening.
Lucky for me, and I guess the rest of the fans, the new band Timeshares is actually pretty good, check them out, the first song is named for me I'm pretty sure.

I'm Sarah. I do what I want.

Victory Records Signs Amber Pacific

Amber Pacific are back and newly signed to Victory Records.
Their emotional blend of powerful, "pop-punk rock" is a fitting addition to our diverse roster. The band is eagerly preparing to head into the studio to record their Victory Records' debut which will be released in early 2010. PHANTOM COMMUNIQUE, FEATURING FORMER BLEED THE DREAM FRONT MAN BRANDON THOMAS, TO RELEASE FULL LENGTH DEBUT FEB. 23 2010 ON AMERICAN VOODOO RECORDS

Phantom Communique, the Los Angeles four-piece formed by former Bleed The Dream singer Brandon Thomas, will begin selling its 4-song debut EP at all upcoming shows, giving concertgoers a taste of the band’s forthcoming full-length debut.
Entitled The Wolf And The Sheep, the full length disc will be released February 23 2010. The band will play a local show with Key Club resident faves Steel Panther on Monday, November 23.
Phantom Communique was formed during a personal breaking point for vocalist Brandon Thomas. Having just parted ways with the successful but tumultuous band Bleed The Dream, with whom he had toured the world and released two full-lengths, Thomas was determined to flex his artistic muscles again, and quickly assembled the kind of ragtag misfits that would help bring his musical visions to fruition under the Phantom Communique banner.
Teaming up with longtime friend, and former guitarist in Opiate for the Masses, Jim Kaufman, the new band was quickly welcomed into the fold of Kaufman’s new label, American Voodoo Records.
Gritty, emotionally stirring and vibrant with vitriol, Phantom Communique possess a dynamic and undeniable spirit. With a respect for the rock of old and a knack for heavy hooks, the Los Angeles foursome perfectly captures that spirit in the studio.

WE ARE THE IN CROWD SIGN TO HOPELESS RECORDS

We Are The In Crowd, the four-piece band from Poughkeepsie, NY, formed earlier this year and newly signed to independent label Hopeless Records, will have its current single, “For The Win” featured on tonight’s episode of MTV’s “The Hills”, with repeats airing throughout the weekend.
“For The Win” is available now on iTunes and a acoustic version of the song is streaming exclusively at www.Absolutepunk.net.
The band, made up of Tay Jardine on vocals, Jordan Eckes on guitar and vocals, bassist Mike Ferri and drummer Rob Chianelli, used its talent and ingenuity to propel themselves into the hearts of many. Instead of relying on image and sugar-coated, meaningless lyrics, We Are The In Crowd focused on one goal. “We really try and tell a story,” says Jardine.
Collectively, We Are The In Crowd released the following statement:
"We're beyond stoked to be a part of the Hopeless Records family. This label has been home to so many artists that have inspired us over the years. It's so awesome to think we're joining a team with such an impressive history."
We Are The In Crowd has just posted a video announcement about their signing to Hopeless here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PZAgEP1Xhc.
Armed with a unique combination of both male and female vocals, the band has created honest, emotional pop rock songs that embody everything that you want to say but don’t know how. This honest depiction of young adult trials and tribulations has helped We Are The In Crowd gain a rabid fan base that hangs on every word and every chord.

RIP Hostage Life

One of the best punk bands to come out of Toronto, Hostage Life, has officially called it quits according to their blog...
"This may seem like it is coming out of left field, but one of us had some personal problems that needed to be taken care of and the rest of the band decided it would be better to break up than to continue a man short. Thanks to everyone that helped, watched, hated, loved, and listened."
Their last show will be at Sneaky Dee's in Toronto on November 20th.

Fuck buddy. Another one bites the dust.. :(
